back in business

We're rising from the dead. I feel so out of touch, taking 3 days off from work, and missing a week of sleep. Cory took the entire week off and in our 20+ years of being together, I have never seen him miss more than a day. His fever continued for 4 days and just today I feel like we're finally coming back. Cory is still really sick, but now it's more tolerable like a horrible cold. Throughout last night I reveled in the overwhelming peace. All I could hear was the rain falling and wind in the trees. That's much more preferred than crying, moaning, or coughing which is all I've been listening to for several days. I don't know what strain of sickness we had in our household but it knocked us on our ass like no other. I've never seen anything like it, and I don't know how I've managed (so far) to dodge this one, but I can tell you that Lysol and bleach have become my best buddies. It was either that or just burn the house down.

So today I'm back at work and I think we're all going to make it.
