Oh my gosh, so much to post! We haven't been around - just got back from California. We spent a week on the Northern California coast at Redwood National Park and Mendocino/Fort Bragg. GORGEOUS! Pics to come soon...
Anyways, yesterday was an "interesting" day. Last night about an hour before bed, Weredesh was using the potty and I noticed a trace of blood on the counter. I checked her out and found a small slice on her pinky finger. She didn't even know it was there (and I have no idea how it got there), but I soon found out that it would have been better to NOT tell her. She absolutely FREAKED when I pointed it out to her and put on a band-aid. I'm talking COMPLETE meltdown. I've only seen her meltdown like this a handful of times since she's been with us, and I can remember each and every time. It's not just crying, but rather out-of-her-mind, out-of-control wailing that's very difficult to stop. Well, last night it didn't stop until she finally cried herself to sleep on my shoulder (after about an hour). Who knows if she just finally reached the brink of overwhelmedness from our vacation or if it was the actual cut that sent her in a frenzy. Probably both. I think we're all worn out from the past week, but whoa, that was an experience...
And in addition to that, she stole her first candy bar at a grocery store yesterday. We had to go back in and apologize. An awesome day. :)
