Kids have memories like a vault. I've worked with kids for years and they don't forget ANYTHING. Except maybe the math you're teaching them. Interesting how they can easily forget what multiplication is (no matter how many times you cover it), but if you tell them they're having a game day next week with popcorn, they will NOT forget what you said. Days later. Each and every one of them.
Well, this AMAZING elephant memory is slowly developing in Weredesh. It used to be that you could bribe her with things because she would later forget, such as "we'll go to the park after nap," or "we'll paint after lunch." You could tell her these things just to make her happy and move on because later would be completely erased from her mind. Those days are numbered. I'm finding I have to be careful what I say, because if I say "you put away your toys and we'll go to the pool," we'd better be going to the pool damn it, or I'll never hear the end of it. I think I need a new tactic.
