Ok, not THAT baby. But a baby, nonetheless. :) Here's a pic. of our new German Shepherd baby, Ayla. I tried to attach a video, but it's just not working. I'll try again later. She's 10 weeks old today. She's so smart already!!! We've got to get her manners in check before the real baby comes, which will be a lot of fun this summer :)
On the adoption front, not too much to report. However, I received my amended birth certificate on Friday! I'm officially a female! YAY! I can't believe how quick they got it to us. It only took 1 month rather than the normal waiting time of 7 months. For the most part, I've found that people are usually very accommodating when they find out you need something to move along your adoption. So I will send our birth certificates to Sacramento tomorrow for them to be authenticated. Regarding the marriage certificate, what a pain in the #%! When I called on Friday to find out the status of it, they said that since they were both part of "one order" they both went on to the state office, one to be authenticated and the other one just along for the ride. Which means I won't even see either of them until another 5 weeks or so. UGH! So, basically I'm just going to place another order for just a certified marriage certificate (which is all I need right now) and have it rushed, and the other two will just come later. This way we can get our immigration paperwork started. The whole government paperwork process is a joy. :)
