cookie party

A few days ago we met some new friends - we've been trying to meet for months now because they also have an Ethiopian daughter, Abarash. She's much younger than Weredesh (18 mos.), but just darling! There were other Ethiopian beauties there as well...Dori and Elyse. The cookie decorating was a HUGE hit with Weredesh. She was the last one to leave the table - totally absorbed in her masterpiece. She's so tactile that I knew this would be a big deal for her :) This was the first night of our three nights of Christmas celebrating that, in the end, left us totally exhausted!
