waldo lake, labor day weekend, 2010

Friends of ours spent the week before Labor Day camping up at Waldo Lake, and saved us a spot on what might be the most busy camping weekend of the year. We drove up Friday night and had a campsite waiting for us. Thanks Uncle Grant & Aunt Linda!

Weredesh LOVES camping, although camping always involves dogs with leashes, and Weredesh's OBSESSION with walking dogs on leashes has become a little much (and I'm not exaggerating). If you have a dog that walks well on a leash, Weredesh would LOVE to dog sit ANYTIME...

No, but seriously, she's at this age right now where she gets completely obsessed with certain things and does NOT let go of it...fun stage... :)

Waldo this year didn't turn out to be our favorite camping trip due to Ayla's swimming adventure on Saturday. While in the water, she caught her leg on something underneath (a rock? a branch?), requiring Cory to drive all the way back to Bend (1.5 hrs.) and spend the day in doggie emergency, arriving back at the campsite around 8 or 9:00 that night. Totally sucky day...

But the weather was GORGEOUS (although a bit chilly), the lake as beautiful as ever, and we had good friends to hang out with. Good thing...
