After our visit with grandpa, we headed up further into Northern California into Humboldt County. Gorgeous! We didn't have a reservation anywhere, and got lucky to find the Benbow Inn tucked back in the woods off the Eel River. There was a great swimming hole to keep Ayla and Weredesh entertained for hours! A nice break from the long drive.
