I just love our new house and the fact that we have so much green space around our house with all of the green grass and literally a wildlife sanctuary out in the back canyon. This tends to bring a lot of critters into our yard, such as our little friend the rattlesnake. Oh, by the way, we caught the snake and took him about 5 miles from here to a grassy field area. :)
Not only do we have wild animals frequently in our yard, but apparently domestic ones like it as well. The week after Easter we had a domestic bunny hanging out in our yard eating our grass! I don't know if someone lost their Easter bunny, but we knew that if we left it out there it would soon be a meal for the next hawk or coyote that comes by. So we caught it with the intention of finding a home for it. Of course any time I mentioned finding a home for it, Weredesh would be in tears. So, meet our new pet..."Bun Bun." :) (And he walks on a leash too!)
This blog has evolved from an adoption blog to an online family journal. We brought Weredesh home from Ethiopia in December of 2008. She continues to amaze us in ways we never knew existed, as documented here...
