peltzer farms

Pumpkin patch time! One of my favorite fall activities. I think because I'm completely obsessed with goats. LOVE goats. I guess raising goats as a child in 4-H left a bit of an impression on me. :)

We found this awesome farm/pumpkin patch in Temecula called Peltzer Farms. I think the most awesome thing is that it's open every day, all day and into the evening, so you don't have to go on the weekend and fight the crowds. We went on a Monday night and we were one of about 3 other families that were there. Had the whole place to ourselves! Which was so fun because we ruled the entire corn maze and chased Weredesh all around it. She LOVED that. We also got to enjoy the petting zoo with all the attention of the animals (especially goats :) Check out Tom the Turkey! That was the first time any of us had pet a turkey. He wasn't too fond of being petted, but was very gracious about it and would just turn around and show us his butt when we did. :)

I think the best thing about our trip to the pumpkin patch was that the temperature was warm and soothing. We didn't freeze our asses off like we did last year in Bend. We all remembered last year where it was drizzling and VERY cold and we couldn't wait to get to the car. The gorgeous sunset, warm temp's, and serene atmosphere this year made for a dreamy evening at the pumpkin patch. :)
