Awhile back Cory and I found ourselves sick of the sea of toys that was becoming our living room and decided to move our bed into the guest bedroom and convert our master bedroom into a playroom/office. I know it sounds weird, but it never made sense to us to have a bathroom in the master bedroom since Cory often gets up a LOT earlier than I do, and lying there listening to him get ready for work, turn on the lights, etc. really sucks. Our master bedroom is also very cold and you can hear the awesome roaring of the neighbor's hot tub 24/7. Not ideal sleeping conditions. Since we don't really "hang out" much in our bedroom, it didn't bother us to sleep in a smaller room. So we moved into the guest room which is warm, cozy and dark - perfect for sleeping (or so I thought).
Well, the downside has been that we share a wall with Weredesh's room and all of a sudden she's become a very LOUD sleeper. Or is it all of a sudden? I don't know - I couldn't hear the CLANG CLANG CLANG!!! of her feet hitting the side of the crib from our master bedroom. Or the grunting, groaning, periodic crying, tossing and turning that we've been lying awake listening to since the move. Is she dreaming? Not feeling well at night? Both? Not sure. And if she is dreaming, what does she dream about? She has an entire first year of life that remains somewhat of a mystery, and we also don't know how much she remembers, or how this might appear in her dreams. Last night she screamed out "mommy no!" and who knows if this was a typical two-yr. old dream or something deeper. I'm hoping her dreams don't involve scary replays of what has happened in her first year of life, but I'm probably kidding myself to think that never happens. All I DO know is that she is one happy baby and getting her full 12 hours of sleep every night, unlike us... shoot, I'd be happy with 6 at this point!
Our transformed (work in progress) master bedroom turned playroom, which might have to transform back. Ugh.
Still to come...more pics from our trip and Easter photos!
