The Last Day of Our Trip
After 4 wonderfully warm days in California, it was time to start our trek home. We came up through central northern California and stopped in Redding for the night. I tried to keep our driving to no longer than 5 hours a stretch so we didn't push Weredesh and Ayla too far over the edge (and us too). :)
On our way back, we stopped at a state park off the highway (in Oregon, can't you tell? big jackets, hats, boots, etc.) to let Ayla out and ran into a ranger (good thing we had Ayla on leash at that moment). He was so thrilled to meet Weredesh and present her with a Jr. Ranger pin and lots of other ranger goodies. I love this video, especially when the ranger says "you made my day." (I know the video isn't the best - I was trying to get everyone in the video, without getting too far away, because I didn't want to miss the dialogue, but it's still precious.)
