i can count on ONE finger...

...the amount of diapers we used today! Cory and I are amazed at how well Weredesh is doing with potty training. She's reminding US that she needs to go to the potty! Unbelievable! About 4 days ago, we decided to go full force with the potty training and as recommended by her teacher, we let her run around naked and made sure she sat on the potty at crucial times - upon waking, after eating, etc. She had a couple of accidents and looked shocked and surprised when there was pee running down her legs. The next day we put her in panties (to help contain possible accidents) and started setting the timer for every half hour to remind her (us) to go to the potty and attempt to go. (I guess it was partly our fault that we didn't realize how much little ones had to pee!) That worked BEAUTIFULLY and it only took maybe half a day until she was telling us that she needed to go. And by today it took only 1 diaper (at naptime) and plus or minus 150 trips to the bathroom (she's now VERY excited about going), and ZERO accidents! And by tonight she was telling mommy and daddy to wait outside, because she wanted to do it all by herself! And she did - grabbed her stepstool, put her potty seat on correctly, took off her underwear, climbed up and used the potty, flushed and then ran out to get us so that we could witness her poop in the toilet! Can it really be that easy? She even told me at a girlfriend's house that she had to go and used the potty there, and also at Kid's Klub (the childcare at our gym) and used the potty THERE! Tomorrow she goes back to school, and we're so excited that she'll continue her training there. We're constantly amazed at how incredibly quick and bright she is. She will outsmart us in no time (although that won't take much). :)
