Last night Cory threw me a surprise 40th birthday party (and man this morning I'm feeling like I'm 40). Weredesh had such a blast - this girl loves parties! And she's doing so much better with others holding her and being away from mommy and daddy for a bit. We're so proud! It's interesting how much of her personality has developed in just the 1st year of her life. She absolutely thrives in busy, even chaotic environments and does NOT enjoy everything to be quiet and mellow. She does great in restaurants, at parties, on outdoor adventures, with other kids, etc. Makes total sense considering she has been around lots of kids all her life and I'm sure it was rarely quiet at the orphanage. Either that, or she's just high on her new life in Oregon! We feel like she was hand-picked just for us, because she fits really well with our lifestyle for sure. Mommy and daddy like to get out! Although we enjoy lazing around as well, and that's not easy to come by right now. The girl gets bored and does not want to rest! Anyways, a few pics from the shindig...
