Adoption Avenues received our dossier this morning and it's leaving for Washington D.C. today. It will be in D.C. for about 2 weeks and then it heads to Ethiopia. Radu tells us that once it reaches Ethiopia it will be about 3-4 months before we receive our approval and referral for a baby. So I guess we're looking at either October or November for the referral and the end of the year to bring baby home.
So it's time to just relaxxxx, take some deep breaths, enjoy our summer of freedom, and get ourselves as prepared as we can for our new addition. Hopefully I'll find some fun things to blog about in the next few months. Some of Cory's clients and friends of ours have been very generous in passing along many beautiful baby things for our baby to enjoy. My job this summer is to get the baby room dialed in, work on travel plans, play with Ayla, and read adoption books by the pool. :)

That is so exciting! I read your blog regularly but i keep forgetting that you are also with Adoption Avenues. I read your entry and it said Radu. It's great to hear what he had to say to you becasue we are right behind you in line I hope. We are awaiting our INS approval which should be here anyday. I keep waiting, I want to get it to Ethiopia as soon as I can. Oh well, at least one of us is in the wait.
