Parent Study

Like the new look?  I had to change templates, because the other one we were using was too limiting and I had a bunch more stuff I wanted to add.  This one's much more user friendly.  :)  Sorry I haven't posted anything in a few weeks, but there really hasn't been much to report lately.  We've been filling out forms, getting fingerprinted, visiting notaries, writing letters, etc.  Nothing too exciting.  But finally, there's a new step!  We meet with the social worker next Sunday the 24th.  It's called a home study, but I'm calling it a "parent" study, since I think that's mostly what it's about.  She's from Portland and is nervous about driving over the mountain pass until more of the snow clears, so we're heading to Portland next weekend to meet with her.  (Anything to make the process move more quickly.)  She still has to come out and see the house, but we can get our study started by going to Portland - we'll just bring pics of the house to start.  It's a 2-3 hour meeting where she will get to know us, go through our autobiographies, see if we're suitable parents, etc.  Then in a few weeks she will come out to Bend to visit our home.  So everything's moving right along!  Talk to you soon...
